Terms of Use
Effective October 17, 2026 · firstandfork.com
These Terms of Use govern Sevenfold: Kitchen at firstandfork.com, including Culinary Radar and the account, photo journal, AI, voice, reflection, and mentorship features that refer to these Terms. The service is operated by First & Fork Foundation, Inc., a Florida nonprofit organization (the Foundation, we, us, or our).
By using the service after being presented with these Terms, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the account or interactive features. An individual using the service for an organization must have authority to act for that organization. The Privacy Policy explains our information practices and is not a blanket consent to unrelated uses of your content.
Kitchen is a culinary learning and discovery experience. AI chefs are fictional, generated perspectives. Human mentor replies come from the people authorized for a learner's threads. The current experience is free to use; giving to the Foundation is optional.

1 Our services
Kitchen supports learning from what you make through dish photographs, chef conversations, saved discoveries, self-directed reflection, and mentor feedback. Cheffy gathers thread contributions into the existing takeaway sections. Culinary Radar offers editorial learning material and space for learner insights; it is not a readiness assessment, score, or certification.
Accounts are required for private conversations and saved learning records. Access also depends on the hosting service's current access controls. A domain connection, mentor assignment, or link does not itself guarantee admission to the site or a Foundation program.
Instant AI feedback is optional through the available control. When enabled, an upload can begin chef feedback and audio automatically, subject to browser permissions and playback rules. Actual mentor review is asynchronous and depends on mentor availability. A pending status is not confirmation that a mentor has accepted or reviewed a request.
2 Intellectual property rights
The Foundation or its licensors own the service software, branding, original editorial material, and other protected service assets, except for participant content and material identified as belonging to others. These Terms grant a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable permission to use the service for lawful personal, educational, or professional culinary learning while complying with these Terms.
You retain the rights you have in photographs, recordings, recipes, writing, reflections, and other content you submit. A mentor retains the rights they have in their own contributions, subject to the limited service license below. Submitting work does not assign ownership to the Foundation or require a general waiver of moral rights.
You may save and use AI output made available to you for lawful learning and culinary practice, subject to applicable law and third-party rights. AI output may resemble output provided to others and may not qualify for copyright protection. We do not promise exclusive rights, originality, or freedom from third-party claims.
Do not use Foundation names, logos, or chef personas to imply an endorsement or affiliation without written permission. These Terms do not restrict rights you independently have under applicable law.
3 Eligibility and account responsibilities
You must be at least 18 and have legal capacity to enter these Terms, including meeting any higher age of majority where you live. The current interactive service is not an approved pathway for minors; a future youth program requires separate arrangements.
Use your own account and provide accurate information needed for the service. Protect your sign-in credentials and promptly report suspected compromise. Do not impersonate another person, share accounts to evade controls, or claim to be an authorized mentor without the learner's permission.
Member sign-in is managed through Auth0 using the methods offered on the sign-in page. You must verify your email before accessing private records or acting as an assigned mentor. The terms and privacy notices of Auth0 and any social sign-in provider also apply. Deleting Kitchen data does not close those provider accounts.
4 Prohibited activities
You may not use the service to:
- Violate law, infringe intellectual property, or submit information you have no authority to disclose.
- Upload identifiable patient records, stolen credentials, malicious code, or material that unlawfully invades another person's privacy.
- Harass, threaten, exploit, discriminate against, or deliberately harm another person.
- Obtain another user's records, bypass account or mentor controls, probe credentials, or interfere with security safeguards.
- Conduct unauthorized scraping, bulk extraction, resale, or automated activity that circumvents access, usage, or cost controls. This does not prohibit ordinary search indexing of public pages, accessibility tools, or activity we expressly authorize.
- Misrepresent AI-generated content as a real mentor's statement, fabricate endorsement, or present a demonstration as verified professional advice.
- Disrupt the service, overwhelm its resources, or conceal a known vulnerability while exploiting it.
Nothing in these Terms prohibits lawful criticism, protected reporting, or exercising a legal right.
5 Participant and mentor contributions
You are responsible for the content you submit and for obtaining rights and permissions necessary to submit it, including consent appropriate to photographs and recordings of others. Do not record private conversations or workplace activity without required permission. Do not use Kitchen as the sole repository for irreplaceable or legally required records.
A learner who adds a mentor authorizes account-level access to existing and future learning threads, relevant dish context, saved audio, transcripts, and thread takeaways. Use the mentor's correct sign-in email. An assignment does not verify professional credentials or guarantee that the person will respond.
Mentors may respond only within their authorized access. They must handle participant information confidentially, use it for the learning relationship, and avoid redisclosing it without appropriate permission or legal authority. Authorized mentors for the same learner may see each other's thread contributions. Learners may export thread content for their own records; this does not authorize unrelated public use of a mentor's work.
Removing a mentor stops future access through the assignment but cannot recall copies already made. Earlier contributions remain in the thread unless removed through applicable controls or a supported deletion request. Contact us about a contribution that requires correction or removal. Community posting through The Table is currently disabled.
6 Limited license to process contributions
You grant the Foundation a nonexclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, format, transmit, transcribe, generate audio from, display, and process your submitted content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, support, and administer the service described in the Privacy Policy. This includes processing through service providers and displaying the content to the learner and authorized mentors.
This license includes generating AI feedback and Cheffy summaries where those features operate. Turning off instant dish feedback does not disable separately chosen voice transcription or Cheffy's processing of thread contributions. The license continues only while reasonably needed for these purposes, applicable retention, and legal obligations.
This is not permission to publish private learning content in promotional campaigns, sell it, or train an AI model on it. Those uses require separate appropriate permission or another applicable legal basis with notice. General suggestions about improving the service may be used to develop the service, without transferring ownership of your private journal or licensing identifiable content for publicity.
7 Service management
We may investigate misuse, apply reasonable usage limits, remove unlawful or harmful content, restrict access where necessary, and take steps to protect the service and its users. Authorized operators may access records for support, security, and administration as described in the Privacy Policy.
We do not promise to review every submission or verify every mentor's qualifications. Report concerns to info@firstandfork.org. Do not send passwords or sensitive credentials in a report.
8 Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time and use the available export and deletion controls. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, security risk, unlawful activity, provider requirement, or discontinuation of the service. Where reasonably practicable and legally appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue. Immediate action may be needed to protect people, information, or systems.
Suspension does not waive your privacy rights. Contact us if you need access to records or deletion assistance after losing access. Obligations that by their nature should survive termination, including limits on unauthorized disclosure and applicable intellectual property provisions, continue to apply.
9 Changes and interruptions
Features, limits, availability, and providers may change. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, a particular response time, permanent storage, or recovery of every lost item. Browser restrictions, network conditions, AI providers, and mentor availability can affect the experience.
The current service is free. Any future paid service requires a separate clear offer and acceptance before a charge; a donation is not a subscription or a purchase of access. Material changes to these Terms will receive appropriate notice and take effect prospectively, with further agreement where required.
10 Governing law
Florida law governs these Terms, without applying conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable mandatory law requires otherwise. Nothing in these Terms removes nonwaivable consumer, privacy, or other statutory rights that apply to you.
11 Dispute resolution
Please contact info@firstandfork.org with a description of a concern so we can try to resolve it. This request does not prevent an urgent court filing, a regulatory complaint, or exercise of a legal right, and does not shorten a statutory limitation period.
These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or a class-action waiver. Subject to mandatory law and a court's jurisdiction, proceedings concerning these Terms may be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Florida. A person entitled by law to bring a claim elsewhere retains that right.
12 Corrections and learning limitations
Editorial material, transcripts, AI replies, annotations, and summaries may contain mistakes or omit context. Check material against reliable sources and your actual ingredients, method, and working conditions. A photograph cannot establish taste, internal temperature, allergen absence, nutritional composition, or food safety.
Cheffy summaries are aids to review, not replacements for original contributions. A summary may fail to capture disagreement or nuance; consult the thread and the person who supplied guidance. Ask for correction or add clarification when a transcript or attribution is wrong.
13 Disclaimer
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED AS IS AND AS AVAILABLE, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.
The service supports culinary learning and discovery. AI and mentor content is not a food-safety inspection, allergen certification, medical or nutrition treatment, legal advice, professional credential, or guarantee of employment or program admission. Follow applicable food-safety requirements, employer procedures, and qualified professional guidance. We do not guarantee a learning outcome or that a mentor will review a particular submission.
These qualifications do not exclude a warranty or obligation that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.
14 Limitations of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE FOUNDATION AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, PERSONNEL, AND SERVICE AGENTS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS ARISING FROM THE SERVICE, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS OR LOST OPPORTUNITIES, SUBJECT TO THE EXCEPTIONS BELOW.
No provision excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence where applicable law prohibits limitation, or other nonwaivable statutory obligations. Applicable mandatory rights and available remedies prevail over any conflicting term.
15 Responsibility for third party claims
To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for third-party claims and reasonable resulting costs to the extent caused by your unlawful conduct, intentional misuse of the service, or submission of content that infringes another person's rights. This does not require you to bear costs caused by the Foundation's own negligence, misconduct, or breach of law.
The Foundation will give reasonable notice of a claim and allow appropriate participation in its defense. No settlement may impose an admission, nonmonetary obligation, or payment obligation on you without your consent, which must not be unreasonably withheld where appropriate. Nothing here imposes a broader duty than applicable law permits.
16 Records exports and deletion
Use the profile export to save text records and the photo download control for images. The export contains links to available saved thread audio rather than a complete offline media archive. Contact us for assistance with recordings or other records not available through the interface.
Deleting all Kitchen data removes active account content, stored media, and access assignments as described in the Privacy Policy. Contributions you authored in other learners' threads are also removed and affected summaries are cleared. Deletion does not close a sign-in provider account or guarantee immediate removal of independent provider logs or copies previously made by others.
An independent scheduled backup and a guaranteed restore time are not promised by these Terms. Keep your own copies of important work. This does not reduce our obligations to protect personal information or respond to a valid privacy request.
17 Electronic communications and optional giving
We may deliver service notices through the website or appropriate electronic contact details. Electronic records and affirmative actions may serve as evidence of agreement where applicable law permits; no consent is inferred for unrelated marketing or transactions. Mandatory requirements for electronic notices and signatures remain applicable.
Donation links lead to Foundation or third-party processing pages with their own terms. Giving is voluntary, does not purchase faster feedback or priority mentor access, and does not guarantee program selection. The applicable receipt and tax law determine any deduction; these Terms make no individual tax representation.
18 General provisions
These Terms and any additional terms expressly accepted for a particular feature form the agreement for Kitchen. Participation in a separate Foundation program may require a separate program agreement. A later document does not retroactively expand rights over private content without an appropriate legal basis.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce a provision once does not waive future enforcement. Using Kitchen does not create employment, agency, a professional certification relationship, or a promise of a mentor assignment. A transfer of Foundation operations must respect applicable law and privacy obligations.
Neither party is responsible for delay caused by events beyond reasonable control to the extent law permits. Nothing prevents you from exercising a nonwaivable right or reporting concerns to an appropriate authority.
